New projects in Southampton, Gosport and Newport

Wheatsheaf Trust has started three new projects recently, in Southampton, Gosport and Newport, Isle of Wight.  All these are partially funded by European Social Fund (ESF) and are part of the Solent Community Grants programme organised by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation (HIWCF).

Stepping Stones supports participants affected by the welfare benefit cap in Southampton.  Our advisor will help participants to work out ways to move towards or into employment and ensure that they overcome the challenges that the benefit cap brings.  Contact our Southampton office on 02380237662 for more information.

Springboard is a Gosport project running in collaboration with Waterside Medical Centre and Forton Medical Centre.  Our adviser is working in those centres with people referred by GPs who need help with gaining the confidence they need to progress towards or into work.  Contact our advisor on 07896981897 for more information.

MyHorizons runs in Newport with community mentors engaging local people, who are not in work, into activities that help them to feel better about themselves and, eventually, start thinking about going into employment.  For more information contact our advisor on 07496160080.
